Appointment of the Chancellor of D8 International University
The Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran has appointed Prof. Hassan Sarikhani as the Chancellor of D8 International University.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Science, in the official decree issued by Hossain Simayi, Iran’s Minister of Science, Prof. Sarikhani has been entrusted with the leadership of the university based on the country's educational policies and the Islamic University Charter.
The decree states:
"It is expected that, with trust in Almighty God, you will lead the university in accordance with established laws, policies, and approved plans. By adhering to Islamic teachings, scientific principles, and the National Unity Government’s strategy, and by engaging with academic experts and scholars, I am confident that you will carry out your responsibilities in the best possible manner. I wish you continued success and prosperity in this important role."
About Prof. Hassan Sarikhani
Born in 1976, Prof. Hassan Sarikhani is a full professor and a faculty member at Bu-Ali Sina University in Hamedan, Iran. He has previously served as:
- Vice Chancellor for Education and Graduate Studies at Bu-Ali Sina University
- Director of Graduate Studies at Bu-Ali Sina University
Prof. Sarikhani has an outstanding academic and research background, including:
- Publication of over 45 research papers in internationally recognized journals
- Presentation of four research papers at prestigious international symposia and congresses
Additionally, in a separate letter, the Iranian Minister of Science expressed appreciation for Prof. Abbas Afkhami, the former Chancellor of D8 International University, recognizing his efforts and contributions during his tenure.
