Bilateral meeting of Prof. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, Minister of Science, Research and Technology of Iran with Prof. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan

Prof. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, said that Iran has made significant progress in some fields, such as mathematics, and requested to establish mechanisms for the cooperation of scientists and researchers of the two countries. Prof. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, announced his country's full support for D-8 International University and emphasized that this university should focus on 3 priority areas in its activities.
Prof. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, Minister of Science, Research and Technology of Iran proposed the formation of a joint committee for scientific and technological cooperation between Iran and Pakistan and said that Iran and Pakistan have a lot in common culturally, including the proximity of Persian and Urdu languages.
