D-8 International University and University of Kurdistan Sign Cooperation Agreement to Expand International Academic and Research Collaboration

D-8 International University and the University of Kurdistan have signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening academic, educational, and research collaboration between the two institutions and creating new opportunities for joint academic initiatives.

The agreement, signed by Dr. Hassan Sarikhani, Chancellor of D-8 International University, and Dr. Adel Si va se Marde, Chancellor of the University of Kurdistan, establishes a framework for cooperation in several key areas, including:

Providing students with access to educational and research facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, workshops, libraries, internet services, and available academic resources.
Utilizing the expertise and advisory services of faculty members as affiliated academic members in accordance with the regulations of the University of Kurdistan.
Organizing joint educational programs, scientific workshops, academic meetings, and research activities.
Developing joint degree programs and issuing shared academic certificates for eligible students based on the regulations and agreements of both universities.

Under the agreement, the two universities will collaborate to facilitate academic exchanges, enhance research capacities, and provide students with expanded educational opportunities through the effective use of academic infrastructure and faculty expertise.

The agreement also outlines mechanisms for cooperation in the areas of academic support, faculty collaboration, student services, and the implementation of future joint programs. Courses offered by D-8 International University will continue to be conducted independently and exclusively in English, in line with the university’s international academic framework.

Both sides emphasized their commitment to developing sustainable academic partnerships, strengthening institutional cooperation, and creating a foundation for future joint educational and research initiatives.

The cooperation agreement, signed for a period of five years, reflects the shared vision of D-8 International University and the University of Kurdistan to enhance academic connectivity, promote innovation, and expand opportunities for students and faculty members.
