D8 International University and Tehran University of Medical Sciences Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Expand Academic Collaboration

Memorandum of Understanding between Tehran University of Medical Sciences and D8 International University

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and D8 International University in July, with the aim of expanding academic collaborations. The agreement was signed by the presidents of both universities.

D8 International University comprises eight Muslim nations: Indonesia, Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, Nigeria, Malaysia, and Egypt. It was established with the overarching goal of strengthening international academic exchanges. It offers Master's degree programs (with a focus on both education and research) as well as doctoral programs (with a research-oriented approach).

The core missions of D8 International University include: establishing an international scientific communication center; promoting science diplomacy; implementing international projects; admitting students from all countries worldwide (with priority given to universities from the eight member states); launching degree programs at various levels of higher education; organizing short-term courses; conducting research projects; awarding scholarships; facilitating student and faculty exchanges; providing study opportunities and consultation services to countries, organizations, and other applicants in the fields of education, science, technology, and innovation; and training the human resources required by the D8 member countries.
