The 4th D-8 Network of Pioneers for Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (D-8 NPRIC 2025), themed “Driving Regional Innovation, Shaping Sustainable Global Solutions”, is currently being held from 6 to 8 October 2025 at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Recognized as one of the most significant scientific and technological events among the D-8 member states, the summit serves as a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and experiences among academics, researchers, policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Türkiye.

In this prestigious event, Prof. Hassan Sarikhani, Chancellor of D-8 International University, is attending as the official representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran and D-8 International University. His participation in the high-level sessions and policy dialogues aims to strengthen scientific diplomacy, promote academic and research cooperation among member universities, and pave the way for the implementation of joint projects in the fields of innovation and technology.

As the academic institution affiliated with the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, D-8 International University has played a pivotal role in advancing scientific and technological collaboration among member states in recent years. Notable achievements of the university include the establishment of the International Scientific Council for the Water Project and the presentation of the IBI initiative designed to attract international students from D-8 member countries.
