D-8 International University, in line with its mission to strengthen scientific and academic collaboration among its member states, is pleased to announce the organization of a specialized workshop entitled “New Analytical Methods for ICP-OES in Water Analysis.” This academic event will be held on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, and will feature Prof. Miguel Ángel Aguirre Pastor, Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Alicante, Spain, as the speaker.

Main Topics of the Workshop:

• Exploring the potential of multinebulization systems in ICP-OES for water analysis,
• Microextraction techniques and their applications in elemental analysis.

Speaker’s Research Expertise:

Prof. Aguirre Pastor specializes in the development of innovative analytical methodologies for elemental analysis in environmental, fuel, and pharmaceutical samples. His recent contributions include the integration of multiple nebulizers with online calibration, the application of novel solvents in liquid-liquid microextraction techniques (such as deep eutectic solvents and magnetic ionic liquids), and the design of miniaturized analytical systems based on smartphone devices.
