SWS Initiative Lands in Africa, Partners with Nigerian Universities
26 November 2025 – The "Scientific Water Saviors" (SWS) initiative by D-8 International University has officially launched its mission in Africa, marking a significant milestone with its inaugural meeting in Nigeria. The pioneering collaboration brings together leading academic institutions from the continent, including the University of Ilorin and the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
This partnership establishes a vital African pillar within the global SWS International Scientific Council, uniting under the core mission to "Harness science for water-secure communities."
With the foundation for cooperation firmly laid, the African chapter is now poised for action.
