D8 International University offers General Linguistics program at PhD level which is concerned with formation of linguistic theories. General Linguistics is multi-disciplinary in terms of areas of interest and application, thus it can prove helpful in fields such as language teaching and language learning, Translation Studies, Sociolinguistics, Discourse Studies, etc. The program aims at exploring, describing, and defining language structures and the theories and approaches that are necessary for appreciation of languages and linguistic elements.
